An Ottawa man is facing charges related to extortion and harassment due to his alleged online activities involving three women. Police listed the charges against Alexander Miller, 21, as three counts of extortion, four counts of criminal harassment, one count of mischief data, one count of intercepting private communications and one count of attempt to commit a summary offence. According to police, the first complaint from an alleged female victim was received in 2012, and an investigation was begun. The widening probe led to two other alleged victims. All three women are in their 20s, according to police. On Friday, police executed a search warrant at a undisclosed residence in the city's east end. As a result of the search, police collected enough evidence to lay the charges. Police are asking anyone with more information about the accusations to contact Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477.
